The European MEG sentiment continued its
decline, despite ample supply and weak demand, despite this week's monomer
settlement. Sellers
were forced to cut prices to avoid demurrage costs, as buyers held back and
their tanks were full. Further up the
chain, producers were being pressured to reduce production rates in addition to
what was already reduced. Meanwhile, more competitive imports were expected to
enter Europe. This week, truck prices fell
below Eur600/mt FCA AR. "I expect
that EU producers will need to decrease or do so already. "I don't believe this will make much difference as
