China's propylene market was stable in
November 15th as buyers deferred spot purchases while they waited for clearer
direction. The
January Intercontinental Exchange Brent crude oils futures contract dropped
$3.32/b over the Asian close, to $92.68/b 0830 GMT. There were no trades and buying interest was low. South Korea's Taekwang Industrial will keep running its
Ulsan acrylonitrile plant of 290,000 mt/year at 75% in December. 15 citing a company source. ACN producers in Northeast Asia have reduced their run rates
or closed down plants due to a shortage and low downstream demand. Because of weak downstream ACN margins, Taekwang
Industrial's 300,000 mt/year Ulsan propane dehydrogenation unit has been
operating at 80% since November. ACN CFR
