steady throughout the day and week Dec. 2. CFR China butadiene was stable
at $760/mt Dec. 2. The price Since Nov. 18, the market has been stable as
both sellers and buyers were in a wait -and -see
mode. Overall market sentiment was less positive with China's main
supplier Sinopec cutting its local price by Yuan 200/mt, which is roughly
$799/mt if you consider import parity. Additional butadiene supplies will
be available in December's second half. Sources close to the matter
revealed that China's Shenghong Petrochemical will open its 160,000 mt/year new
butadiene facility in Lianyungang during the second half
December. Suppliers were reluctant to make offers despite rising
