$80-$150/mt week- CFR China reaches 7-month high- Weakness in ChinaAsian butadiene was steady to $50/mt higher
on the day and rose $80-$150/mt weekly on week as spot supply continued to rise
amid lower steam cracker operations. CFR China butadiene was steady day-on-day and climbed $80/mt
weekly on week to reach a seven month high of $1,180/mt February 10. Asian butadiene maintained its strength during the week of
February 6 due to lower steam cracker operations. Spot cargoes were traded earlier this week at $1,250/mt FOB
Korea to facilitate H1 March loading. Spot
demand was evident in Asia, especially Taiwan, as end-users sought spot cargoes
to support downstream production. Taiwanese
end-users were willing to pay $1,200/mt CFR Taiwan. China's buying interest, which was driving Asian butadiene,
