butadiene increased $20-$40/mt on February 17th, and $20-$70/mt the week
before. Sources said that spot demand was still being triggered by
short-covering, which was triggered in part by lower steam cracker
operations. CFR China butadiene prices rose $40/mt on Feb. 17 to
$1,240/mt, the highest level since July 22, 2022 when it was valued at
$1,250/mt. In Northeast Asia, buying interest was stable in the week
ending Feb. 13, which led to active exports from China. On a basis of
import parity, the local China butadiene prices remained stable at Yuan
9,700/mt February 17, or $1,225/mt. The ex-China export price ranged from
