BMC to resume operations at methanol plant

Brunei Methanol Company (BMC) is planning to restart its methanol plant following an unplanned outage. A source in Brunei informed a team member, “The company is expected to bring the plant on-stream by the end of February 2026. The plant was taken offline around February 7, 2026, due to a technical glitch.” Located in Sungai Liang Industrial Park, Brunei, the plant has a production capacity of 850,000 mt/year.
