Prices of Asian mono ethylene glycol were
stable on June 28, amid quiet discussions. On the Dalian Commodity Exchange, September MEG futures were
active and rose Yuan 23-40/mt to Yuan 4,508-4,700/mt ex tank. Buyers took a cautious approach to the fall in MEG prices
over the past week. However, producers weren't eager to sell as current prices
are too low to sustain their margins. The
operating rates of polyester fell from 59% to 56% in east China, indicating
that there was still little demand for it. August ICE Brent crude oil futures increased $3.19-4.20/b to
$116.59-130.25/b at 0830 GMT Asian close. Other
regions saw US spot oil prices for MEG remain stable at $551-575/mt FOB USG, on
