- Brent gains 52 cents/b on day- DCE rises Yuan 35-45/mt

Due to thin trading, Asian monoethylene
glycol imports prices remained stable during the session. The April ICE Brent crude oil contract increased
52 cents/b over the previous session, to $ 85.670/b by 4:30 Singapore time
(0830 GMT), Feb. 13. On the Dalian Commodity Exchange, the May MEG
futures were traded at Yuan 4,171/mt. Trader said
that arbitrage was possible from China to Europe, but European demand was low,
and market uncertainty persisted because of a longer voyage duration. Prices were
also lower in other regions at $963/mt CIF Northwest Europe (down $35/mt),
while spot MEG prices were at 24c/lb ($529/mt), FOB USG Feb. 10. Both prices
are determined on Fridays.
