imports fell Nov. 21 due to weak demand from lower futures. February ICE Brent crude oil futures dropped
$2.93/b on the day to $87.03/b by 4:30pm Singapore time (0830 GMT) Nov. 21. On the
Dalian Commodity Exchange, the January 2023 MEG futures contract fell Yuan
74/mt to Yuan 3,809/mt. The Asia price outlook was mixed due
to weak demand and rising costs. The bullish stance taken by
suppliers means that prices will need to rise in line with rising oil cost, and
production cuts will continue until margins strengthen, traders said. Producers
said that Asian MEG margins are not competitive. Oversupply
