Blending component inventories fall Crude futures rise by $1.04



Spot MTBE flat prices
on the US Gulf Coast rose by 5.38 Cents on April 21, following higher gasoline
prices. During the Market on Close assessment process, there were no
trades, offers, or bids. On the day, the
MTBE premium to prompt month NYMEX RBOB remained constant. Crude oil futures increased by $1.04 on the day, while
front-month NYMEXRBOB rose 5.38 cents. According
to data from the US Energy Information Administration, gasoline blending
components inventories, including toluene and mixed xylenes, decreased by
1.3% to 214.2 million barrels in the week ending April 15.
