South Asian polypropylene prices fell in the week to Nov. 4, as weak demand in most other export destinations pushed producers to offer material at competitive prices to avoid large inventory buildup ahead of year-end. PP raffia/injection grade down $15 week over week at $825/mt CFR South Asia Nov. 4, below the lowest offers heard and corroborated at $830/mt CFR South Asia, and above bids heard at $800-$810/mt. The assessment was also within tradable indications heard at $810-$830/mt and considered deals concluded earlier in the week at $830/mt CFR South Asia. Market participants in India said the gap between buy-and sell-side indications was narrower this week compared to the weeks prior.
