US July DDP-benzene rose 4 cents/gal to
489c/gal on July 26, despite weak upstream crude futures. The forward curve was
also becoming more bearish as the prompt market continued to see a tight supply. WTI crude oil futures dropped $1.72-2.50/bl to
$94.98-100.50/bl on July 26, a decrease of 1.78%. Benzene
increased by 0.82% during the day. The benzene to crude ratio was 2.16
on the day. This is an increase of 2.11 on July 25, which was 2.11. On July 26,
the ratio was above 2. The annual average for this ratio is 2021. This level
represents the point at which benzene or crude are closely related. RBOB
gasoline futures were down 2.70c/gal on July 26, at $3.55/gal. This is a
