COVID-19 restrictions gave Asian benzene markets a boost, and other bullish
factors also contributed. Chinese
health officials eased some of China's COVID-19 restrictions by reducing
quarantine time for international travelers and cases by two days, and
eliminating penalties for airlines that bring infected passengers. Local media reported that China would also stop tracking
individuals who have not been in close contact with COVID-19 infection. The US dollar fell overnight as the Bureau of Labor
Statistics' monthly US consumer price index (published late Nov. 10 and updated
