3 saw a drop in Asian benzene prices due to a lack of interest from buyers
after China's Lunar New Year break. FOB Korea benzene physical markers
declined $19.34/mt, to $930.33/mt February 3. Trades for March FOB Korea
cargo were heard lower at $928/mt. However, bids rose to $930/mt by the end of
the trading session. Another March cargo was also traded floating at plus $3/mt.
This is in line with the March average Mean of Koreabenzene base
prices. Prices fell on other aromatics markets. According to market
sources, there was little interest in spot cargoes coming from China. There
