Asian benzene $2.33/mt higher on the session at $724/mt FOB Korea July 18, partially tracking gains in upstream markets. Upstream, the front-month ICE Brent futures rose $1.30/b to $69.64/b, while naphtha rose $1.625/mt on the trading session to $576.375/mt. In the FOB Korea market, buying interest was heard for a strip of cargoes from H2 August to December, with the seller selling a minimum two cargoes in the strip, with a bid heard at $701/mt for the strip. Similarly, an offer for an October to December strip of FOB Korea cargoes, for a minimum two cargoes, was heard at $725/mt. During the Market on Close assessment process, Trafigura sold September FOB Korea to GS Caltex at $723/mt, while China Base Resources (Ningbo) bid for September CFR China at $728/mt. Some...
