Asian Benzene: Weak fundamentals seen■ FOB Korea marker stays above $900-920/mt■ The floating basis market is seeing narrow alphasThe Asian benzene market slid south due to
a lack of demand and a healthy supply. According to the CFR China benzene indicator,
the FOB Korea benzene mark dropped to $918.67-930.35/mt on Oct. 7, from a day
earlier. This was consistent with the CFR China marker which fell $4-5/mt to
$937-950/mt. The FOB Korea gasoline marker rose $32-37/mt
over the week. The limited trading space for cash differentials
in the floating basis market has reflected the soft trade activity for physical
cargoes. The floating basis market saw trade bids for
November-loading FOB Korea cargoes hovering around parity or at the most at
