Benzene increases $6/mt in a week; propylene drops $5/mt / Support from feedstock is expected to decrease: Source

The CFR China phenol price was $5/mt less than the previous week at $810/mt. The CFR China acetone price was $30/mt less at $620/mt. The CFR China phenol marker was $5/mt lower on the week at $810/mt, and the Southeast Asia phenol marker at $870/mt. The benzene FOB Korea mark is up $6/mt since July 1, at $717/mt. Meanwhile, propylene, at $740/mt FOB Korea has dropped $5/mt in the last week. Chinese prices for phenol and acetone were reported as weaker or stable, at Yuan 6,550/mt and Yuan 4,675/mt respectively. This translates to approximately $751/mt ($530/mt) and $530/mt ($530/mt), on an import parity base. Prior to this week, prices for phenol were heard at Yuan 4,675/mt.
