Due to higher bids, US Gulf Coast
spotbenzene was up on Nov. 7. spot
November DDP-benzene was at 301c/gal DDPUSG, an increase of 4 cents. The US International Trade Commission data for November
showed that benzene imports fell 0.8% from January to September. The ITC data showed that benzene imports in the first nine
months of 2022 were 1.237 million mt. This is slightly less than the 1.247
millions mt imported by 2021. Between
January and September 2022, the majority of US imports came from South Korea.
This was 531,857 mt. This was 8.4% more
than the 2021 levels during the same period. Canada was the next most important import source, with
128,057 tonnes of product being imported into the US during the reporting...
