On June 9, the Asian paraxylene market
experienced a slowdown, with fewer trades in the physical market. The CFR Taiwan/China
marker dropped by $14. 33-20.50/mt climbed
to $1,498-1,520 on the day. 50/mt, after
reaching multi-year highs in the week of June 6 After hitting multi-year highs during the week of June 6,
50/mt was retracted by buyers. A trade for Asia-origin July arrival cargo was
completed at $1,534-1,570/mt. The offer was raised to $1,529-1,560/mt at market
close. Between July and August, the
backwardation structure was significantly weaker with offers in the early
trading hours ranging from plus $75-80/mt up to $50-55/mt. Further, trades at
