- Asia's supply remains abundant- Mixing appetite looking to
slow

Asian FOB Singapore MTBE rose $13.26-18.50/mt
to $948.01-970.50/mt on Sept. 5, following the energy complex. At 4:30pm Singapore time (0830 GMT), front-month
November ICE Brent crude crude futures climbed 60c/barrel to $95.52-100.40/b. The
mainstream gasoline market moved in the opposite direction. FOB Singapore 92RON
gasoline increased $1.39-2.50/b from $93.33-99.50/b Sept 1 to $99.72-104.50/b. As
September was more tolerant of blending, the backwardation structure for MTBE
remained intact between September and October. Sources
said that participants were pessimistic about October and believed that
blending demand could soften as more components are available.
