Oct. 7, despite mixed reactions to strong crude futures from downstream
benchmarks. Spot
negotiations remained sparse with market participants at European events, and
Chinese participants who were out for the Golden Week holidays. Industry sources said that November CFR Southeast Asia
purchasing indications were below $1,080-1,120/mt, LC 30 Days, for 1,000-mt
cargoes. Sources said that supplies
remained limited from Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and with some maintenance
still ongoing. Operating rates for plants were also low. A trader stated that only India was active at the moment...
but some maintenance will be completed in October. India's ex-tank remained in the range of Rupees 99-99/kg...
