styrene traded $1/mt higher on Nov. 9, lessening morning's losses due to
rebounds in China's domestic market. The weakness in global demand meant
that trading momentum was weak throughout the session. There were no price
discussions in the export or import markets, and there was little trading
momentum. Price discussions were held in east China for February laycans,
but January laycans were not discussed, due to a source mentioning a weak
January market. On the day, Yuan 20,/mt rose at Yuan 8,070/mt ex-tank.
This equates to $969.89/mt if you use import-parity. The bearish outlook,
China's capacity expansion and weak margins made negotiations for 2023 term
