Styrene monomer CFR China & FOB Korea were assessed at $920.50/mt & $910.50/mt respectively on May 21. This was unchanged from the previous assessment due to stable upstream benzene price. The Asian benzene price was assessed at $729.50/mt, up $0.50/mt from the previous day. The ethylene CFR Northeast Asia mark was $780/mt May 21, unchanged from the previous day. On May 21, the front-month June EB2506 styrene monmer futures contract on the Dalian Commodities Exchange had fallen Yuan 59/mt from 3 pm Beijing time. The prices of crude oil and naphtha both rose on May 21. The front-month ICE Brent contract was 72 cents/b more than the previous session at the Asian close, while the C+F Japan Naphtha marker increased $7/mt to $576.625/mt.
