Asian polyvinyl chloride prices firmed in the week to July 22, supported by rising feedstock costs, while participants awaited fresh August offers to gauge market direction. PVC CFR China prices $30/metric ton higher week over week at $780/mt on July 22, while CFR Southeast Asia was assessed $30/mt higher over the same period at $735/mt. Market participants said most buyers remained on the sidelines, waiting for fresh August offers from a Taiwanese producer to gain a clearer indication of market direction.
