Asian PVC - Indian BIS mandate to restrict Chinese PVC exports / FOB China carbide PVC falls $5/mt, ethylene PVC stable / Indian buyers are cautious and opt for other cargoes than China

In the week ending June 4, Asian PVC prices remained stable or declined. China's domestic prices were pressured by an easing of supply, while futures fluctuated. Meanwhile, Chinese carbide PVC exports fell due to strong freight rates and a decline in Indian demand. CFR China PVC unchanged from week to week at $710/mt on June 4. China's ethylene-based PVC remained unchanged at Yuan 4.960/mt on June 4, whereas carbide-based PVC dropped Yuan 55/mt to Yuan 4.675/mt in the same time period. China's capacity utilization rate increased to 78.19% from 76.19% in the previous week, as the supply decreased following scheduled maintenance at several PVC Plants.
