Feestock Costs- SM price volatile- China's Oct PS Imports Drop on YearAsian polystyrene prices were
stable or higher week-on-week Nov. 23, as producers digested volatile feedstock
prices for styrene monomer and China's COVID-19 epidemic. Styrene monomer dropped
$15.50/mt week-on-week to $960/mt CFR China Nov. 23, after rising to $995/mt
November 18. Traders stated that they are
bearish on demand in the next months and expect production to rise with 650,000
mt new PS capacity opening up in China during December-February. GPPS was offered for export to China during the week, with
GPPS priced at $1,110-$1,120/mt and high-impact polystyrene priced at
$1,210-1,220/mt on a FOB China basis. A
