Asian Propylene Market remained unchanged on Sept. 2, as buyers were reluctant
to purchase materials. The
November ICE Brent crude oils futures contract was $0.74/b higher than the
Asian close at $94.92/b 0830 GMT Sept. 2. This small increase in buying
interest did not stimulate buying activity as buyers weren't in a rush to
purchase materials due to the availability of cheaper domestic material. Shandong propylene fell Yuan 65/mt to Yuan 6,885/mt Ex-tank. Others hoped for recovery in September-October, as China
reduced interest rates last week. Initiatives to boost the economy with cash
liquidity would eventually help. China
