were stable for the week ending Aug. 31. According to market sources, the demand for PET chips in
bottle grades remained strong and most sellers had sold out of loading
shipments from September and October. Due
to a decrease in upstream PETX, prices were lower for the week. The sentiment was positive, however, as sellers continue to
receive a steady stream of inquiries. "Inventory
levels of PET chips in bottles are low right now. Most of my cargoes have been
sold so I'm not worried about the slight price drop. A Chinese producer said that production is still healthy
despite falling raw material prices. Some
