11, on a bullish note. This was due to gains in crude oil prices and downstream
markets, as China announced that it would relax its COVID-19 restrictions. Paraxylene rebounded to
above $1,000/mt Nov.11 at $1.018.33/mt CFR Taiwan/China. The price rose
$25.75/mt but fell $4/mt over the course of the week. This rally was in line with China's uptrend in the PTA
futures markets where the January futures contract surged by 3.08% over the
previous settlement at Yuan 5,416-5,496/mt. January ICE Brent crude jumped
$3.60/b to $95.95/b 0830 Asia closed Nov. 11. Sources said that the downtrend in paraxylene markets also
