orthoxylene was mixed week-on-week. The CFR China marker was up $44/mt to
$1,150/mt Feb. 17, on the backs of spot market bids. FOB Korea was lower due to
weakening feedstock mix xylene. OX prices have maintained a premium over
paraxylene because of tight spot supply and higher prices outside Northeast
Asia. OX CFR China was valued at $145.50/mt higher than PX CFR
Taiwan/China, which was $1,004.50/mt. This is an increase of $76.17/mt from
February 10. The European OX price was unchanged week-on-week at $1,480/mt
FOB AR on February 16. A producer stated that there is no spot OX, and
prices should rise. Although no spot offers...
