LPG prices in Asia rebounded Dec. 22,
despite a $20-25/mt decrease in February Brent crude oil futures. This is due
to the market weighing the effects of winter on North Asia's heating demand and
stock building in the region. Front-cycle
CFR North Asia second half January-delivery propane was up $16/mt, trading at
$611.5/mt Dec. 22. The H2 January CFR
North Asian propane premium to January contract prices swaps was steady at
$50.50/mt Dec. 22, H2 January-delivery
Butane was valued at $15/mt more than propane Dec. 22, the same day. There were two bids, but no offers in the physical market.
No trade was made. BP offered 46,000 mt
