- Asian Iomer-MX falls $21-26/mt- Low Demand

Asian isomer-mixedxylenes fell $21/mt Nov.
18, at $883/mt FOB Korea, and $902/mt CRU Unv1. They also dropped $7/mt Nov. 21
at $918/mt CRU China Nov. 21, as other markets declined. Paraxylene downstream dropped $26/mt, to $936/mt
CFR Unv1/China Nov. 21, along with naphtha oil and crude oil. Following a
steeper drop in PX prices, the spread of PX-MX was $5/mt to $58/mt. Sources said
that isomer-MX prices fell due to a slower demand from US customers. Sources say
that Chinese domestic market prices were similar to other Asian markets, but
they also came under pressure because domestic buyers expressed interest in
South Korean isomer MX and expected further price declines.
