markets were quiet, but the price of CFR Far East Asia was up $20-25/mt over the
week, at $2,170-2200/mt, July 7, due to a higher selling price in Japan. The July settle price for
Taiwan's producer was $2,190-2,220/mt CFR Northeast Asia. The spot market remains weak due to lower downstream
operation rates, slow consumption of the final product side, and an increase in
global inflation rates. Trade sources in
Taiwan claim that the spot market will remain weak as the bulk of demand was
met by Russian-origin cargoes between January and May. Taiwan received nearly
