Asian benzene $1/mt lower on the session at $675.67/mt FOB Korea on Oct. 24, tracking the decline in the downstream styrene monomer market. the CFR China SM marker down $9/mt day over day at $811.50/mt on Oct. 24. Crude oil futures trimmed earlier gains during midafternoon Asian trading Oct. 24 but remained on track for a weekly advance as markets digested a more than 5% rally spurred by the new US and EU sanctions on Russian energy exports.
