US LLDPE : Spot exports remain steady week on week- Activity muted in anticipation of the upcoming freezing
temperatures along the US Gulf Coast- Baystar Polymers and ExxonMobil Announce January Price
Increases: LettersMetallocene-grade, linear low density
polyethylene and hexene export levels were stable Dec. 21. There was no new activity
before the holidays and market participants are preparing for the upcoming
freezing temperatures on the US Gulf Coast. LLDPE Butene was assessed
at $904/mt FAS Houston Dec. 21. This is the lowest level since December 8, 2020
when it fell below $900/mt. From Dec.
15-21, no new transactions were reported across all LLDPE grades. Source feedback indicates that although export appetite was
already low in Q4, market players were more cautious in December due to the
possibility of cold temperatures on the USGC...
