Asian toluene prices fell Nov. 7, moving in
a divergent direction to firmer crude, naphtha, and benzene. A South Korean-origin cargo was offered at $920-$940/mt
during the trading session. There were no counter bids and takers. ASTM D-841
was used to determine the 2,000-mt December-loading cargo. Letter of credit was
at sight. A China-origin cargo was offered for December
loading at $950-$970/mt FOB Maoming at 3,000 mt at minimum 99.5% purity. Letter
of credit at sight. There were no trades. Industry
sources claimed that information flow regarding Korean toluene cargoes entering
the US Gulf and Southeast Asia blenders continued through Nov. 7. Sources
