Asian styrene monmer rose $4/mt to
$1,012/mt CFR China Dec. 15 and $1,047/mt FBO China Dec. 15, despite limited
activity. At $1,012/mt FOB Korea the FOB Korea
marker increased $4/mt, parity with that of CFR China. On an
import-parity basis, the domestic China prompt marker was Yuan 10/mt higher at
Yuan 8195/mt. Sources said that he expected the Middle Eastern
sellers will be more aggressive pricing their export cargoes for Asia. This was
due to China's new capacity. The current strong freight market
restricts geographical arbitrage opportunities to US locations. He believes
