polyethylene from Asia were stable despite low waste collection and thin trade on Sept. 28. Asia's
recycling industry was informal. Due to
low scrap import bans and low collection rates, recycling trading was sporadic. If a scheme to reduce waste and encourage recycling is
implemented in Singapore, pre-packaged drinks consumers may be required to pay
10-20 cents more to deposit their favorite beverages. It will likely only be plastic bottles and metal cans in its
initial stages. Each container will receive a flat deposit regardless of its
size. It is expected to be implemented in
