Styrene supplies heard to be tightening Benzene contract price settled at $1,257/mt for
April



Styrene prices experienced
a second significant increase on April 1, as traders began to worry about the
sustainability of production. The week saw a significant increase in
trading, with the forward loading laycan for five to 30 days at $2,330-2,350/mt
CIF AR on April 1, an increase of $490-500/mt. On April 1, a trade was made at $2,350-2,375/mt. This is a
significant increase from the March 31 trade of $2,150-2,180/mt. Sources claimed that the European market was experiencing a
decrease in supply due to an ongoing outage at Shell Moerdijk and curtailed
Russian exports from Finland. There were
