- Talks on run rate cuts loom- Sinopec raises listed price



March 9 saw trade momentum
remain weak as the Asian benzene markets continued to see strengths in the
upstream sector and weaknesses in the downstream. No April
offers were made and bids for May-loading FOB Korean cargoes were received at
up to $1,275-1,295/mt. Even floating
offers were not accepted, and May cargoes were quoted at plus $10-15/mt above
the April weekly Mean of Koreabenzene base price. FOB Korea benzene physical markers rose $22.34-27.50/mt, to
$1,286-1,319/mt. After a physical swap at
plus $11-15/mt, the April/May physical structure narrowed by $10-15/mt. Multiple sources indicated that run rate cuts could be
gradually occurring in Asia amid high prices and low supply. A company source stated that Lotte Chemical Titan reduced
