- Sources mention impending contract settlement for
low-activity- Expected contract settlement close to the current spot
price

The US Gulf Coast benzene prices fell Oct.
31, due to a lack in buying interest. November FOB USG gasoline was 313 cents per gall, a decrease
of 4 cents over the previous day. This is the lowest level since Oct. 6 when it
was 311 cents/gal. No bids were received
and offers fell on the day. Recent sources
claimed that market activity was being slowed by low demand and the impending
November contract settlement. Spot price
expected to be "close to or slightly higher than the current spot
price," according to a source Oct. 31.
