Low-density polyethylene
export prices remained unchanged despite several PE producers having announced
May price increases in April. Spot prices were flat on
a week-to-week basis at $1,698-1,720/mt (77 to 78 cents/lb on a FAS Houston
Basis). The mid-April supplier pricing was
discussed largely at 73-74% cents/lb rail cars. According to market participants, delays in product movement
of at least one month have been reported. This is cause for concern. One source claimed that most of the warehouses where we are
requesting packing are full and cannot take any more cars in May. "Honestly, I don't see any relief in the next two to
