Spot activity was increasing and Asian
naphtha markets were stable on July 14. According to market sources, crackers and
splitters were stocking up, while heavy full-range supply was still tight due
to a lack of Russian cargoes. Headwinds in China and new COVID-19
lockdowns are threatening to weaken the outlook. Sources
said that Petrochemical Corp. of Singapore purchased at least one cargo of
open-specified naphtha at a discount of $4-$6/mt relative to the CFR (Mean of
naphtha Assessments) and pricing 30 days before delivery. Sources
said that Indian Oil Corp. sold at most 35,000 mt heavy full-range naphthas for
a premium of $49-50/mt to the average and Argus Arab Gulf assessments. Petroleum
