Asia MEG Down on Low Demand■ DCE futures dip Yuan 44-60/mt■ October crude futures of ICE Brent down $1.49-2.50/bAccording to market sources, Asian mono ethylene glycol imports fell on August 26 due to weak demand and low
polyester run rates. Sources
said that there was a shortage of MEG and some producers had reduced production
due to weak demand. Despite ongoing
efforts in China to eradicate COVID-19, there was no indication of an upside in
Asia MEG prices. On the Dalian Commodity
Exchange, January 2023 MEG futures were active and traded at Yuan 44-60/mt on the day to settle at Yuan 4,050-4,500/mt expand. October ICE Brent crude oil futures fell $1.49-2.50/b from
their previous Asian close, closing at $99.86-105.50/b at 4:45 pm Singapore
