import prices were stable on Sept. 30, A Chinese trader stated that some traders were also
considering moving material to India. However, the premiums of $20-40/mt
weren't enough to cover freight costs. According
to reports, freight costs for a cargo of 5,000 mt were at $70/mt to China from
Southeast Asia. However, the cost for similar cargo to India from China was
about $100/mt. Sources say prices will
fluctuate between now and the first quarter of 2023. They hope that there will be
an economic stimulus following COVID-19-related restrictions. Some Chinese buyers were holding back on purchases while
