Prices of Asian low-density, linear
polyethylene fell in the week ending June 1, 2008. Because some Chinese
provinces were still under pandemic movement restrictions, this was why prices
fell. They didn't expect a full recovery of
demand for their products until July. Although
Southeast Asia was able to shift the price direction away from China, the market
leader, Asians were more optimistic. It
