high-density polyethylene prices dropped in the week ending February 22nd. Recyclers said that they
could not comment on operating rates as they only made the product when they
received a purchase order. One Korean
recycler claimed that they mixed virgin material with recycled pellets in order
to create a compounded product that would meet brand owner's specifications.
The compounded recycled PE price is also higher than prime grade. Sellers claimed that customers didn't mind paying a higher
