Asian isomer MX up $1.5-$2.15/mt on day at
$952.5-$968/mt FoB Korea, up $1.5/mt - $962.5/mt CRU Unv1, and down 4/mt to
$921-$936/mt CFR China Nov. CFR
Unv1 and FOB Korea rose, CFR China fell due to falling domestic isomer-MX
prices. Sources suggested that the
increase in isomer MX prices in CFR Unv1 and FOB Korea could be due to a
shortage of Asian isomer. Paraxylene saw a
$12/mt increase to $985.92-$1000.101/mt (from $973.92/mt Nov. 2). The week ended Oct. 31 saw a third consecutive day of
increases in PX prices. The spread of
PX-MX has increased to $33.42-$38.58/mt due to an increase in isomer MX prices. PX producers stated that the spread of PX-MX was not
profitable...
