Asian isomer-grade mixed xylene dropped
$10.50-15.25/mt to $1.254-2.500/mt FOB Korea and $1,209-1,225/mt CRU Unv1.
However, it remained stable at $1.090-2.500/mt CRU China on June 30. The traders held a bearish
outlook on isomer-MX. This was especially true for FOB Korea prices. Some see
gasoline demand dwindling as gasoline specifications change in winter. This
will lead to lower demand for MX blendstock. According to a trader, Indian and Middle East price ideas
were already falling and buyers weren't willing to accept current FOB Korea
levels. In China, July domestic prices
were reported at Yuan 8,530-8550/mt. This is about $1093-1120/mt if you
consider import parity, which is still a significant drop from international
