Spot MTBE prices in the US Gulf Coast fell
to 403.61 Cents/gal FOB USG July 6. This was 19.24 cents less than the previous
day. Based on information received from
outside the Market, the premium for front-month gasoline fell to 79.95c/gal. There was
still very little buying interest. Some sellers indicated that they have not
received bids in several weeks, citing the high price of gasoline as the reason
for their lack of liquidity. One source stated that participants
were discouraged from placing flat-price bids and making offers for blending
parts due to the high gasoline volatility. August NYMEX
NYMEX RBOB was lower at 323.66 Cents/gal. September settled at 309.05 Cents/gal. At 14.61
